We offer a wide range of courses for parents throughout the year. All courses require a commitment to attending each week and must be booked in advance. For more information on any of our courses, please call the Children's Centre.
- Baby massage - encourages bonding and increases parents' confidence in handling their baby. This group also helps to reduce isolation for new mums. The five week course must be booked.
- CPCK (Confident Parents and Confident Kids) - If you need help and support with your child's behaviour this programme is for you. Over 8 weeks we will provide practical advice and strategies on how to become more confident in your parenting. £16 for the course plus £1 per child per week for the crèche.
- PEEP (Parents Early Education Partnership) for Babies/ones/twos - We offer a rolling programme of 10 week courses, suitable for those with children from birth to two Years old.
PEEP aims to support parents and carers to enhance their children's learning and development and improve their life chances by making the most of everyday learning opportunities. Through this, babies and children become confident communicators and active learners. PEEP is about valuing and building on what parents already do - sharing ideas from parents, practitioners, the PEEP programme and wider research - but also understanding why they help children's later development. £20 for the course.
- Baby sensory -provides ideas for creative play, massage, tummy time, movement, visual development, textures, scents and music in simple practical ways, that can be easily repeated at home. We also use a combination of original and traditional songs and rhymes to develop early speech and language skills, and sensory signing activities to help you and your baby communicate from birth.
