Early Years Practitioner (Level 3 minimum)

We are looking for someone who has a sound understanding of the EYFS to join our friendly, inclusive nursery, where the children are at the heart of everything we do. Bushy Leaze is an attachment and trauma awareness school with an SEND Hub and Family Support team. We have great links with outside professionals and other local schools. Your role will involve acting as a Key Person, using observations and assessments to plan learning opportunities based around the children’s interests. You will work closely with parent/carers, building strong relationships and supporting home learning opportunities. You will work as part of a knowledgeable and creative team, promoting the welfare of our children, ensuring that they are safe and happy in nursery.
This is a permanent, fulltime role, 37 hours per week, term time only.
This includes all days children are in school plus five INSET days, although there could some flexibility for the right candidate.
The salary is Scale C (£23,115 – £24,410) pro-rata to £19,772 - £20,879

Bushy Leaze is one of three maintained nursery schools in Hampshire, offering places for 120 local children. A Governing Body is designed to reflect the community in which the school is situated. Our Governors come from different backgrounds, but all with a common desire to take an active role in the life of the Centre. They encourage new ideas, support staff and act as critical friends to discuss issues relevant to the management of the nursery.
Governors are elected to serve for 4 years and meet six times a year at Bushy Leaze, as well as attend ad-hoc meetings (e.g. the Pay Committee), carry out visits and training.
