The Family Support Team at Bushy Leaze offer over 110 group places each week to support families in Alton and East Hampshire. 
 
The bookable community groups offer support to families with babies and toddlers in and around Alton. These sessions support families dealing with isolation, anxiety, financial challenges and family crisis offering a safe place to visit and opportunities to develop vital friendship networks. The team can signpost to their own specialist support and other agencies depending on individual needs. 

 

The specialist targeted programmes offer in excess of 200 referred places per year, supporting families with issues such a:

• first-time parent 

• getting to know your baby through baby massage 

• support for families who may have concerns about language and communication skills 

• children with special educational needs and disabilities  

• developing parenting skills 

• emotional health challenges such as feeling lonely, anxious and unsure 

• cooking on a budget

• dads club

• parents seeing to go back into employment

In addition, many  families with children under 5 receive dedicated support from the Bushy Leaze expert Family Support Team ranging from half-an-hour advice to receiving ongoing weekly contact to help them through their times of need.
