Governors Required
If you feel like an exciting challenge and helping to shape the future of a unique setting, then why not become a governor at Bushy Leaze.
A Governing Body is designed to reflect the community in which the school is situated. Our Governors come from different backgrounds, but all with a common desire to take an active role in the life of the Centre. They encourage new ideas, support staff and act as critical friends to discuss issues relevant to the management of the nursery.
Governors are elected to serve for 4 years and meet six times a year at Bushy Leaze, as well as attend ad-hoc meetings (e.g. the Pay Committee), carry out visits and training.
Governing bodies have a strong focus on three core functions:
-
Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
-
holding the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its children, and the performance management of staff
-
overseeing the financial performance of the nursery and making sure its money is well spent
