'Safeguardingand promoting the welfare of children is everyone's responsibility. Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play.' Keeping Children Safe in Education 2021 (KCSiE)
At Bushy Leaze Children and Families Centre, we all take our safeguarding responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff are trained annually in safeguarding and we have regular safeguarding updates as part of our continuing professional development.
Safeguarding is the responsibilty of everyone in our setting, but we do have a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and three Deputy Safeguarding Leads (DDSL) who meet regularly to review all reports.
When considering safeguarding concerns, we have a legal obligation to follow the Hampshire Safeguardinng Children Board and Children's Trust Threshold Charts, and processes are driven by the flow chart from Keeping Children Safe in Education. These documents are available as attachments below for your information.
Please do contact us if you have any questions about safeguarding, and please be assured that we shall always priortise our safeguarding responsibilities
